Get Involved
Service work and community keep us sober and happy. Recovery isn’t something we do alone—and it isn’t something we outgrow. Giving back helps us stay connected, grounded, and accountable. It reminds us where we came from and why this way of life matters.
At Discovery Place, involvement doesn’t end when treatment does. Below are a few ways we invite alumni, families, and supporters to stay connected and be part of the broader recovery community.
Alumni Service & Mentorship
Many alumni return to Discovery Place to serve current guests—offering guidance, encouragement, and hope through shared experience. Being of service reinforces recovery and reminds us that our past can become our greatest asset.
Volunteering on Campus
From helping with events to supporting daily operations, volunteering on campus creates meaningful opportunities to give back while staying connected to the community that helped shape your recovery.
Sharing Your Story
Telling your story—whether informally with a new guest or through organized alumni opportunities—helps others see what’s possible. Your experience may be exactly what another man needs to hear.
Community Outreach & Fellowship
Discovery Place stays connected to the wider recovery community through fellowship, service work, and ongoing relationships. Staying involved strengthens not only your own recovery, but the recovery of others across Middle Tennessee and beyond.
Ongoing Connection
Recovery is a lifelong journey. Staying involved—through service, connection, and community—helps ensure that sobriety remains active, purposeful, and supported.
If you’re interested in getting involved or giving back, we’d be honored to walk that next step with you.
