It was February of 1998 and I was at a low point in my life, currently on house arrest for multiple DUI offenses. When I met with my case worker on February 19, 1998, she told me quit drinking or go to prison. This supplied the motivation. I don’t know how I found out about Discovery Place but being without insurance and basically unemployable it was the only option. I now believe it was the only option that would have worked! On February 21, 1998 I walked through the doors and was led into a design for living that worked for me. I will always be grateful for my time at Discovery Place.
